This Privacy Policy explains how PRESSO (“PRESSO”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects your information when you use the PRESSO mobile application and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
- Account & contact details: your name, mobile number and email address.
- Addresses & location: pickup and delivery addresses, and—if you grant permission—your device location, used to detect serviceable areas and assign riders.
- Order information: the items, services, schedules, prices and status of your orders.
- Payment information: how an order was paid (e.g. cash or UPI) and transaction references. Card/UPI credentials are handled by our payment partners and are not stored by us.
- Device & technical data: a push-notification token, app version and basic device information needed to operate and secure the service.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account and authenticate you via one-time password (OTP).
- To schedule pickups and deliveries, assign riders and fulfil your orders.
- To process payments and maintain order and billing history.
- To send service notifications (order updates, delivery codes) and, where permitted, offers.
- To provide customer support and improve the service.
3. Sharing of Information
We share information only as needed to run the service: with delivery riders and facility staff to fulfil your order; with payment processors to complete transactions; and with service providers (e.g. cloud hosting, push-notification and messaging providers) acting on our behalf. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information where required by law.
4. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
5. Your Rights & Account Deletion
You may access or update your profile in the app at any time. You can permanently delete your account and associated personal data directly within the app: open Profile → Delete account and confirm. This removes your name, phone number, email and saved addresses and signs you out, and cannot be undone. Past order records are retained only in anonymised form, or as required by law. 6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted transport and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data.
7. Children
The service is intended for users aged 18 and above and is not directed at children.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
